Coach Brown Initiatives didn't start in a boardroom or a classroom — it started on a football field. As a youth football coach, I kept seeing talented kids who couldn't play, not because of ability, but because their families couldn't cover the fees or the equipment. So I dug in and worked to solve that inequity directly.
But the more I worked on it, the more I realized something: that wasn't the start of the problem. It was the end result of it. By the time a family can't afford a $75 registration fee, the real issue — unstable finances, no plan, no one in their corner — has already been building for years.
So I started coaching adults too. Not just on the field, but in their businesses and in their homes, helping them make the kind of smart financial decisions that stabilize a family long before it ever shows up as a kid standing on the sideline.
